Abstract:
To obtain the subject derivative useful as an estrogenic agent for preventing and treating diseases such as menopausal disorders, prostatic cancer and prostatomegaly.
This new derivative is a flavone or naphthalene derivative shown by the formula (R1 is OH or H; R2 is a nonsubstituted 1-6C alkyl or nonsubstituted 2-6C alkenyl having one double bond; R3 is H or a nonsubstituted 1-4C alkyl; R4 and R5 are each H or a nonsubstituted 1-4C alkyl; R6 is OH, a halogen or nonsubstituted 1-4C alkyl; X is O or methylene; bond bearing ...mark is a single or double bond), e.g. 5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3- methoxyphenyl)-8-(3-methyl-2-butenyl)-4-chromanone.
