To provide a light-weight, flexible and transparent capacitive touch sensor.
The capacitive touch sensor includes a substrate, a first layer, two or more electrodes, electrical leads and two or more conductive areas; the substrate is thin, flexible, and transparent, and has a first side and a second side; the first layer is a thin, transparent, continuous, flexible layer of a resistive material on the first side, and covers the surface of an active touch regarea for the touch sensor on the first side; the electrodes are thin and flexible, connected electrically to the first layer, arranged along the periphery of the active touch region, and apply a potential to the first layer in the active touch region; the electrical leads are thin and flexible and transmit electrical signals from/to the electrodes; the conductive regions are thin and flexible, connected electrically the first layer, arranged along the periphery of the active touch region, and form a composition for linearizing the potential in the active touch region over the first layer; and the second side has another transparent, flexible layer of a conductive material for the protection of the sensor from electromagnetic radiations.
