Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible-contact type four-axle load measuring system having a simple structure that readily permits reductions in thickness, size and weight, allowing greater freedom of design, excelling in economy, heavy-load resolving capability and stability in all kinds of environment, and being equipped with a flexible-contact type four-axle load sensor capable of quickly detecting the magnitude and direction of the contact load.SOLUTION: A flexible-contact type four-axle load measuring system 1 has a flexible-contact type four-axle load sensor 1 provided with an elastic three-dimensional contact part 2 that bears a load and a load detecting layer 3 with which a flexible and elastic-contact part comes into direct contact to detect the load. The load detecting layer has an electroconductive member 33 made of an electroconductive complex material, which may contain a carbonic or metallic content and is held between a pair of substrates 31 and 32 on which electrodes are formed and the electrodes and whose electric resistance is varied by imposing a load while a voltage is being applied to it, and one or both of the substrates can be replaced with a configuration in which the electroconductive member 33 are integrally formed to serve also as an electrode or electrodes.
