PURPOSE: To provide a magnet roll, on which the generation of permanent compressive deformation due to the contact of a blade can be prevented, and a flexible magnet used for manufacture of the above-mentioned magnet roll by resolving various problems pertaining to the conventional rubber-binder-used magnet roll which will be used in a direct contact type electrophotography developing method.

CONSTITUTION: A magnet roll is constituted by arranging a flexible magnet, having small permanent compressive deformation and consisting of partially chlorinated polyethylene resin of 35 to 60vol.% and hard ferrite powder of 40 to 65vol.%, on the circumference of a shaft.
