Title:
FLEXIBLE MEMBRANE WEIR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5968413
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To remove deposited earth and sand causing insufficient weir height positively by constructing a second small-sized flexible membrane weir for high pressure near a fixture on the upstream side of a first flexible membrane weir on either of the inside or outside of the first flexible membrane weir.

CONSTITUTION: The flexible membrane weir 1 is formed by the first flexible membrane weir 2 constructed in the direction crossing rivers and the second small-sized flexible membrane weir 3 constructed in parallel near the fixture 2A on the upstream side of the membrane weir 2. The membrane weir 3 is constructed outside or inside the membrane weir 2, and a high-pressure fluid is fed to or discharged from the membrane weir 3 and a fluid at normal pressure to or from the membrane weir 2 respectively and independently. When earth and sand deposit on both membrane weirs 2, 3 under a lying state, earth and sand depositing on the membrane weir 3 are collected positively to the upstream side when the high-pressure fluid is fed to the membrane weir 3 first and the weir is erected, and deposited earth and sand remaining on one part of the membrane weir 2 are washed away to the downstream side by a water current falling from the membrane weir 3. Accordingly, deposited earth and sand do not cause trouble when the membrane weir 2 is erected.
