Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a dynamic pressure fluid bearing of light load used under high temperature which is low-priced and resistant to vibration or shock by circumscribing a flexible endless thin plate about the outer peripheral surface of a shaft at several places in such a manner as to form a polygonal bearing surface. CONSTITUTION:Rotation of a shaft 1 causes fluid stored in the periphery of the shaft to generate pressure, thereby to support the shaft 1. A bracket 4 having a cylindrical hole 41 is provided with two pins 3 and a pin 31 enclosed in such a manner as to be slided outward in a guide mounted on the bracket 4 by an elastic substance 5. A flexible thin endless steel plate 2 is triangularly disposed about two pins 3 and the pin 31 in such a manner that the steel plate 1 contacts the outer surface of the shaft 1 at three places thereof. Thus, the bearing member can cope with an impulsive load immediately by absorption effect due to flexibility of the steel plate 2 so as to prevent troubles.
