Abstract:
To provide a technology for obtaining a float glass which has a large plane view size with reduced warping.SOLUTION: A float glass production device includes; a bath, a plurality of top rolls, a ceiling, a plurality of heaters, and a plurality of controllers. The bath has a narrow part, a middle part, and a wide part from a lower stream edge to an upper stream side in this order. The narrow part has a deep bottom part, a shallow bottom part, and a pocket part from the low stream edge to the upper stream side in this order. In each division formed by dividing the ceiling into a flowing direction and a width direction of a glass ribbon, there are provided the plurality of heaters collectively controlled by one of the controllers selected for each division. An interval in the flowing direction between a first division line which divides two neighboring rows in the flowing direction, and which is the nearest to the lower stream edge of the pocket part, and the lower stream edge of the pocket part is 0% to 15% of a length in the flowing direction of the pocket part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
