Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal structure for cryogenic cable in which structural countermeasures are taken against thermal shrinkage occurring in a cable used under cryogenic temperature.
SOLUTION: A supporting member 13 is disposed between a flange B 11 provided on the outer wall 1 of a cryogenic bath containing the cryogenic bushing 5 at the end of a cryogenic cable and encapsulating coolant, e.g. liquefied gas, and a flange A 12 mounted at the end of the outer wall of a vacuum bath located on the outside of the outer wall 1 of cryogenic bath while holding a vacuum state with respect to the outer wall 1. The flange A 12 is secured to a building 14 installed on the earth.
