Title:
FLOATING MELTING FURNACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3407775
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug which is not allowed to melt into molten metal even when the molten metal touches the plug by using the water cooling copper- made plug as the plug for blocking a tap hole in a floating melting furnace.
SOLUTION: A cylinder portion 61b is combined with a truncated cone portion 61a having a thinner tip, a cooling water hole 61 is bored inside the truncate cone portion 61a, an O ring 8 is inserted into the cylinder portion 61b, and a screw hole 61d is made for screwing an outer tube of a cooling water conduit 7 having a double tube structure composed of an inner tube and the outer tube so as to form a water cooling copper-made plug 61. Cooling water reaches the cooling water hole 61c passing the inside of the inner tube, and thereafter, the same flows out through a space between the outer tube and the inner tube as shown by an arrow sign. Thereby, the truncated cone portion 61a is cooled.
