Abstract:

PURPOSE: To employ both sides of a floating caisson for berthing or mooring of ships by providing vertical piercing holes in the floating caisson and fitting in and joining with the holes the dolphin supports planted in the subaqueous founcation.

CONSTITUTION: In a floating caisson A is provided vertical piercing holes 1 and 1', into which are fitted the heads 3 and 3' of dolphins fitted removably onto the tops of dolphin supports 2 and 2' planted in the subaqueous foundtion. Between the walls of the vertical piercing holes 1 and 1' and the heads of dolphins 3 and 3' buffer materials 4' are placed.
