Abstract:
PURPOSE: To execute folding with satisfactory working accuracy by fixing a work so as not to be shifted from a bumping member, at the time of executing bending to the work by, for instance, a press brake being a bending device.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of executing bending to a work W by cooperation of a punch P and a die D by moving vertically one table of either the upper table on which the punch P is installed or the lower table on which the die D is installed by a press brake, when the end side of the work W is bumped against a bumping member 25 of a back gage 23 and a work contact sensor 39 provided on the bumping member 25 is turned on, at least one of electromagnets 41, 43 and 45 of work fixing means provided on the bumping member 25 the die D or a work support 29 operates and fixes the work W, and when working of the work W is started by the punch P and the die D, prescribed bending is executed by releasing the fixation of the work W executed by the work fixing means.
