Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cleaning device dispensable with excessive equipment, easy to be installed and maintained and suitable for cleaning water of lakes, marshes, ponds, or the like, and to provide a water cleaning method. SOLUTION: This floating vegetation bed is composed of multi-layered sheets, in which vegetation base materials floating on the water surface or near the water surface are arranged almost horizontally at prescribed intervals and which is used for inserting/supporting a young plant of the plant to be vegetated. The vegetation base material contains a contact-type filter medium hanging from the base materials. The sheet consists of a woven fabric and has partially a part where a warp is not mingled with a weft for inserting the young plant.
