To provide a floor material which can sufficiently reinforce a floor material body composed of ceramics or stone, and a manufacturing method for the floor material.

This floor material 1A comprises a floor material body 2, a reinforcing layer 3 which is formed on the backside of the floor material body 2, and an anti-skid material 4 which is protruded from the reinforcing layer 3. One half side of the anti-skid material 4 is protruded from the reinforcing layer 3, and the other half side thereof is embedded in the reinforcing layer 3. A net made of a rubber or a synthetic resin is suitably used for the anti-skid material 4. A floor material body 2 is turned upside down; an uncured adhesive 3' with self-smoothness is supplied onto it, so that expansion up to an even thickness can be awaited; after that, the anti-skid material 4, which is composed of the net, is arranged in such a manner as to be pushed into the layer of the adhesive 3'; and subsequently, the adhesive 3' is cured.
