PURPOSE: To obtain a floor material having good rigidity over its entire surface and excellent in the fitness to a floor surface to be executed by providing a porous fiber part and a foamed part subjected to foam molding under atmospheric pressure in a state in contact with one surface of said porous fiber part and impregnated in the porous fiber part partially to form a cured impregnated layer.
CONSTITUTION: A floor material 1 is constituted of a porous fiber part 2 formed from cotton fiber felt and polyurethane foam 3 partially impregnated in the porous fiber part 2 to form a cured impregnated layer 30. As mentioned above, since the floor material 1 has a high rigidity impregnated layer 30 formed in an almost uniform thickness by impregnating a part of a non-foamed raw liquid 3a in the porous fiber part 2 to cure the same, the generation of the bagginess in the floor carpet 5 arranged along with the floor material 1 can be prevented. Since the impregnated layer 30 becomes high in density because the roaming of the non-foamed raw liquid 3a is suppressed in the felt, said layer 30 can contribute to sound absorbing and blocking properties. Since the floor material 1 has the polyurethane foam 3 on the side in contact with the floor surface of a car, the fitness to the floor surface of the car is excellent.
