PURPOSE: To present the agitator of satisfactory usability and durability by providing a slide contact piece composed of a flexible elastic material, to have a fine projecting part string in a tip part spirally fitted and a holder holding this slide contact piece and obtaining thick parts in both edge and another thin part for the slide contact piece.

CONSTITUTION: An agitator 2 is composed of a holder 22 slide contact pieces 23 which are composed of the flexible elastic material, obtain the string of fine projecting parts 23c in the tip part and are spirally fitted along the length-wise direction of the holder 22. Then, this slide contact piece 23 has the thick parts in the both edges and the other thin part. A slide contact part 23b in the anti-beld spreading side of the agitator 2 is strongly grounded. However, since the thickness of the said part 23b is 0.8mm and the part is not cut and damaged by usual use, the durability can be secured. Further, the thickness in the block almost of 25mm from the both edges of the slide contact part 23b is thinly formed to be about 0.5mm, a tone to hit a cleaning surface by the whole slide contact piece 23. Additionally, since rotational resistance to be received from the cleansing surface is decreased by the increase of flexibility with wholly thin slide contact piece 23, the noise of rotating and driving force can be decreased.
