PURPOSE: To reduce operation resistance by driving rollers A, B provided in the vicinity of both ends of a suction port, at the time of allowing a floor nozzle to execute mainly an advance motion on a carpet in the floor nozzle for a vacuum cleaner.
CONSTITUTION: The floor nozzle for a vacuum cleaner is constituted so that by using a clutch mechanism consisting of clutches A 34, B 38, and a floor nozzle advance direction detecting device 42, rollers A 29, B 30 prodded in the vicinity of both ends of a suction port 17 are rotated only when a floor nozzle main body 11 is subjected to advance motion, therefore, a load of a motor 21 is more reduced than that of a conventional floor nozzle, and the rollers A 29, B 30 transfer surely driving force.
