Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a composition, capable of forming a tough resin film excellent in gloss, excellent in resistances to water and washing and durability without losing the gloss even by use for a long period, on the other hand, readily peelable by a chemical means without causing environmental pollution due to no heavy metal contained therein.

CONSTITUTION: This floor polishing composition contains an aqueous polyurethane resin crosslinked with calcium. The acid value of the aqueous polyurethane resin is within the range of 15-200 and the amount of the calcium crosslinkages is within the range of 0.05-0.9 chemical equiv. based on acidic functional groups of the polyurethane resin. Furthermore, this method for producing the composition is provided.
