Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the thickness of a driver thinner, its depth shorter and the drive compact by providing a linear pulse motor opposite to both sides of a floppy disk and then providing a magnetic head of each linear pulse motor opposite to the floppy disk. CONSTITUTION:A diskette 2 is disposed at the center of a casing 1, and a floppy disk 4 is incorporated. Flat-type linear pulse motors 5 and 6 are caused to face each other at both upper and lower sides of the floppy disk 4, and magnetic heads 7 and 8 are provided opposite to the floppy disk 4. A reverse gate- shaped stator 16 for forming magnetic pole teeth 15... at the bottom of the flat- type linear pulse motor 5 is provided, and guide plates 18 and 18 having a guide groove 17 in double upright walls 16a and 16a of the stator 16 are fitted. Then a non-magnetic adapter plate 20 to which the magnetic head 7 and a mobilizer 19 are fitted to one side and the other side respectively is slidably inserted between the guide grooves 17 and 17 of the guide plates 18 and 18, thereby making the overall driver thinner.
