To easily exchange rolls and to eliminate the degradation in a treating capacity by providing the flour mill with a pair of the metallic rolls varying in circumferential speeds, pivotally fitting the rolls in a cantilever state attachably and detachably at revolving shafts and respectively specifying the circumferential speed of the roll on a high-speed revolution side and the axial length of the rolls.
The flour mill 1 is composed of a grain storage section 2 in which the grains to be milled are housed, a grain supply section 5 which has a pair of motor driven supply rolls 3, 4 for metering the grains at a limited speed and a pulverizing section 8 which has a pair of metallic rolls 6, 7 for pulverizing the grain. In the meantime, the rolls 6, 7 for grain pulverization having a length of 100 to 500mm are pivotally fitted in the cantilever state at the front end of the respective revolving shafts 19, 28 on the outside of a machine frame 15. The rear ends of the revolving shafts 19, 28 are connected via pulleys 41, 43 to motors 43, 44 and the roll 6 on the stationary bearing side is so revolved that its circumferential speed attains 15 to 30m per second. Further, a pulverizing chamber 67 is formed by attachably and detachably mounting a transparent cover 66 at the machine frame 15 so as to enclose the rolls 6, 7.
