Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow displacement member for displacing a bottom basis material of molten glass flowing on a bottom of a feeder, upward from the bottom without wearing an inner wall of the feeder.SOLUTION: A molten glass flow-displacing member 1 disposed in a feeder 2 for flowing molten glass, for displacing a bottom basis material of the molten glass flowing on a bottom 2b of the feeder 2, upward from the bottom 2b, has a guide face 4a for guiding a flow along an inner wall 2a of the feeder 2 while raising the bottom basis material from the bottom 2b of the feeder 2. The guide face 4a is made helical along the inner wall 2a of the feeder 2.
