PURPOSE: To prevent clogging with a small amt. of the inert gas to be blown in a mechanism for discharging the inert gas to a passage for a molten steel via a flow rectifying nozzle disposed in the upper part of an immersion nozzle for continuous casting by forming an inert gas discharging part within the semi-cylindrical part of the flow regulating nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: A continuous casting device discharges the inert gas into the passage for the molten metal through the flow regulating nozzle disposed in the upper part of the immersion nozzle for continuous casting. The inert gas discharging part is formed within the range of the semi-cylindrical part of the flow regulating nozzle. The gas blowing part is thus limitedly installed to the point which is hardly subjected to channeling. The gas is concentrically blown from said part, by which the whole of the gas is contributed to the formation of a gas accumulation chamber. The effective prevention of the clogging with the small amt. of the gas to be blown is made possible.
