Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow unit, an exhaust emission control system, and a method therefor enabling a uniform flow and/or homogeneous and uniform mixing and distribution of exhaust gas or a mixture of exhaust gas and an additive agent to be attained.SOLUTION: A flow unit 1 has a guide element 3 constituted as a hollow body having a guide element inlet 31 and a guide element outlet 32, and an outer covering surface for the guide element is constituted as a guide surface 33. The flow unit 1 also has a brake element constituted as a hollow body having a brake inlet 21 and a brake outlet 22, and an outer covering surface for the brake element is constituted as a brake surface 23. The guide surface 33 is constituted and arranged with respect to the brake surface 23 in such a way that exhaust gas may attack against the brake surface 23 under a pre-definable brake angle α>0, and a shearing layer of the exhaust gas may be formed at the brake outlet 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
