Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flowerpot which can efficiently feed water without a hand and cultivate a plant smoothly without making the root rotten.
SOLUTION: A through hole 4 which communicates from inside to outside a flowerpot main body 1 is bored in the bottom part 3 of the flowerpot main body 1 and a water feeding mat 6 is fitted detachably outside the bottom part 3. To fit the water feeding mat 6, a recessed groove 5 is formed in the lower end part of the flowerpot peripheral wall 2, the outer peripheral part of the water feeding mat 6 and a ring 7 are inserted into the recessed groove 5, and the water feeding mat 6 is stopped detachably with the ring 7, or a mat holding body 20 is fitted to the lower outer periphery of the flowerpot main body 1 from outside the water feeding mat 6, which is stopped detachably with the mat holding body 20 engaging the lower end part of the flowerpot peripheral wall 2. Further, the flowerpot main body 1 is formed preferably of foamed synthetic resin particles to provide an infinite number of microgaps with water and air permeabilities for the flowerpot main body 1.
