To provide a fluidized bed drying device capable of suitably handling brown coal scattered in a drying furnace.
The fluidized bed drying device includes a drying furnace 5 which forms a fluidized bed 3 inside by fluidizing brown coal with fluidizing gas, and the drying furnace 5 includes a drying chamber partition wall 25 which partitions off a first drying chamber 21 positioned upstream in a fluidization direction of the brown coal and a second drying chamber 22 positioned downstream from the first drying chamber 21, a circulation port 28 which is provided between a gas dispersion plate 6 and a drying chamber partition wall 25, and circulates the brown coal from the first drying chamber 21 to the second drying chamber 22, a first gas exhaust port 38 for exhausting exhaust gas produced in the first drying chamber 21, and a second gas exhaust port 44 for exhausting exhaust gas produced in the second drying chamber 22, fluidizing gas flowing in the first drying chamber 21 higher in flow velocity than fluidizing gas flowing in the second drying chamber 22.
