Title:
FLUORESCENT CHARACTER DISPLAY TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3215379
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of abnormal noise in a frame when a pulse signal is applied to a wire in a fluorescent character display tube having a cathode supporting body frame mounted onto a base board provided with wires for an anode and a control electrode.
SOLUTION: A wire 3 on a base board 2 is arranged so as not to be arranged in areas 6, 6 in both ends of the base board 2, and a frame 5 serving as a cathode supporting body is arranged in the area 6 free of the wire 3. No wire 3 is arranged below the frame 5. The frame 5 is not brought into contact with the wire 3. Measurement of resonance based on forcible impression of a pulse to a wire for an anode or the like is carried out in various kinds of fluorescent character display tubes, and consequently, it is proved that abnormal noise is greatly caused in a fluorescent character display tube in which a frame 5 is overlapped with a wire 3 or brought into contact with the wire 3. It seems that abnormal noise is generated because the frame 5 resonates when it is influenced by a change in the electric field, as an electric field around the wire 3 is changed by a pulse signal given to the wire 3 if the wire 3 and the frame 5 are close to each other. In the previously mentioned structure, no unusual noise is generated.
