Title:
FLUORESCENT ENAMELWARE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06271334
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide novel fluorescent enamelware capable of emitting fluorescence in a dark place when irradiated with UV.
CONSTITUTION: A heat resistant inorg. phosphor as well as glaze for enameling is put on a surface with fired underglaze and firing is carried out. The heat resistant inorg. phosphor is based on Sr6(PO4)CI:Eu, Zn2GeO2:Mn or Y2O2S:Eu and does not decompose at about 800°C firing temp. The resulting fluorescent enamelware emits blue, green or red fluorescence when irradiated with UV and the surface of the enamelware has excellent durability comparable to that of the conventional enameled surface.
