Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the life of a lamp and improve its luminous efficiency by preventing its early blackening.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of electrodes 3a and 3b are constructed by applying vanadic sulfate (Ba-V-O), as an emitter, to an electrode coil made of tungsten. A preheating circuit for constantly preheating the pair of electrodes 3a and 3b is provided so that spot temperature of the electrodes 3a and 3b becomes 1070-1150 degrees centigrade when a lamp is lightning.
