Title:
FLUORESCENT LIGHT EMITTING TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3655281
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent display tube of which both ends of wire members like a filament or a wire shaped grid are fixed to a metal layer like Al thin film in a state of holding the wire members at a prescribed height, fixing and keeping the height of the wire members by one metal spacer to reduce a dead space.
SOLUTION: Both ends of the filament 23 and the Al wires 221, 222 are fixed to the Al film 211, 212 of a pair of cathode electrodes formed on a glass substrate 111 by ultrasonic bonding. The filament 23 is supported at a prescribed height by the Al wires 221, 222. The Al wires have two functions of a fixing member and a height holding member (spacer) for the filament 23. Since the spacer needs not be installed separately from the fixing member, the installation space for the spacer becomes unnecessary.
