Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent wheel which can be used in both single-plate type and three-plate type projectors.SOLUTION: A fluorescent wheel 108 includes a rotatable substrate 201, and color light generation units 200a and 200b including a fluorescent body formed in a concentric circular manner on the substrate 201. In a state that the substrate 201 is rotated, the excitation light is delivered to the color light generation unit 200a or the color light generation unit 200b. The color light generation unit 200a emits a plurality of color light rays at the same time. The color light generation unit 200b emits a plurality of color light rays sequentially.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
