PURPOSE: To obtain a new fluorine-containing compound useful as a synthetic intermediate for agricultural chemicals and medicines or an active ingredient for agricultural chemicals and medicines.

CONSTITUTION: A fluorine-containing compound shown by formula I [R is 1-10C haloalkyl; R1 is phenyl which may be replaced; R2 is R3R4C=NNH (R3 and R4 are 1-4C alkyl), R5NH [R5 is phenyl (may be replaced with halogen, 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C alkoxy)], group shown by formula II, group shown by formula III (X is H, halogen or 1-4C alkyl) or R6R7CH (R6 is OH or R3COO; R7 is 1-6C alkyl, phenyl or heterocyclic)], such as the compound shown by formula IV (Ar is 4-CH3OC6H4). A compound shown by formula I wherein R2 is R3R4C= NNH is obtained by reacting a compound shown by formula V with a compound shown by formula VI in the presence of a base.
