Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating fluorine-containing wastes, which treat fluorine-containing wastes without requiring another fuel, and recover fuel gas from another waste and effectively utilize the same.SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating fluorine-containing wastes includes: a vertical gasification melting furnace 50 including a thermal decomposition part 52 which is supplied with fluorine-containing wastes and fixed carbon-containing wastes and performs thermal decomposition and gasification of the same, a gas reforming part 53 which reforms gas generated, and a melting part 54 which melts incombustibles; gas refining equipment 80 in which reformed gas is refined by being cleaned with cleaning water and recovered as fuel gas; and cleaning water treatment equipment 90 in which fluorine is removed from the cleaning water which cleaned the reformed gas. The cleaning water treatment equipment 90 includes: a first fluorine removal equipment 91 in which fluorine is removed by adding a potassium compound to the cleaning water including fluorine and silica and precipitating and separating potassium silicofluoride; and a second fluorine removal equipment 92 in which fluorine is removed by adding a calcium compound to the cleaning water treated in the first fluorine removal equipment 91 and precipitating and separating calcium fluoride.
