Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a new fluorophenoxyphenylthiourea derivative exhibiting excellent miticidal activity to mites as well as excellent insecticidal activity against vermin having acquired resistance to organophosphorus pesticides and carbamate pesticides.

CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [R1 is F; R2 is 1-6C alkyl or 3-6C cycloalkyl; Z is -NH-CS-NH- or -N=C(SR3)-NH- (R3 is 1-4C alkyl or allyl), e.g. N-[2,6-diisopropyl-4-(2--fluorophenoxy)phenyl]-N'-tert. butylthiourea. The compound of formula I wherein Z is -NHCSNH- can be produced by reacting an isothiocyanate of formula II with an amine of formula H2NR2.
