Title:
FLUOROPOLYIMIDE OPTICAL MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2998835
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluyoropolyimide optical material having a lowered permittivity and a lowered refractive index by reacting 2,2'-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,4'-diaminobipheyl with a tetracarboxylic dianhydride.
SOLUTION: 2,2'-Bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,4'-diaminobipheyl is reacted with a tetracarboxylic dianhydride (e.g. trifluoromethylpyromellitic dianhydride) in a polar organic solvent to obtain a poleyamic acid. This acid is imidated to obtain a lowly expandable fluoropolyimide optical material comprising repeating units represented by formula I (wherein X is H or trifluoromethyl; and R1 is a divalent organic group selected among thoes represented by formulas II to IV).
