Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a melt-processable composition excellent in chemical resistance and high-temperature resistance by selecting a composition comprising an elastomer part of a polymer comprising -CF2 CF2 -repeating units and specified substituted fluoroethylene repeating units and a crystalline part being a polymer containing an F-substituted polymer in a specified ratio and having a specified or smaller tensile strain. SOLUTION: There is provided a composition containing about 40 to about 90 wt.%, desirably about 50 to about 75 wt.% elastomeric part being a polymer comprising repeating units of formula I: CF2 CF2 and repeating units of formula II: CF2 CF(OCn H2n+1 Om )-(wherein (n) is 1-6; and (m) is 0-3) in a molar ratio of desirably about 80:20 to about 50:50, more desirably about 75:25 to about 65:35 and a crystalline part being a polymer (e.g. a copolymer having repeating units of formulas I and II) containing an F-substituted polymer and having a tensile strain of at most 10% when tested by measurement at 100% elongation under specified conditions.
