Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a fluororubber compsn. excellent in tensile strength, etc., by mixing a rubber mixture of a diene rubber of a polyolefinic rubber with a fluororubber with a specified amt. of a copolymer having peroxide groups. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. rubber mixture composed of 5-70wt.% diene rubber (e.g. a styrene-butadiene rubber) or polyolefinic rubber (e.g. an ethylene-propylene rubber) and 95-30wt.% fluororubber is mixed with 0.5-20 pts.wt. copolymer which has peroxide groups and is obtd. by copolymerizing a vinyl monomer (e.g. styrene) with an org. peroxide having a (meth)acrylic group, thus giving a fluororubber compsn. A pref. example of the peroxide is a compd. of the formula (wherein R<1> is H or 1-2C alkyl; R<2> is H or methyl; R<3> and R<4> are each 1-4C alkyl; R<5> is 1-12C alkyl, phenyl, etc.; and (m) is 1 or 2).
