Title:
FLUX CORED WIRE FOR GAS SHIELDED ARC WELDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3433042
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flux cored wire for gas shielded arc welding capable of posture welding with high electric current and capable of improving mechanical performance, particularly, lowering of toughness in weld metal after heat treatment.
SOLUTION: The flux cored wire is packed with a low Ti oxide heated and calcined in the oxidizing atmospheric gas at 1,000-1,400°C for one hour or longer within the range of an equation, (low Ti oxide)/(total Ti oxide)≥0.8, with 25-50% of total Ti oxide against the total weight of a filling flux, and also with the filling flux as the remainder consisting of a slag agent, arc stabilizer, alloy, iron powder and deoxidizer, for 8-25% against the total weight of the wire. In addition, it contains 0.01-0.15% B against the total weight of the filling flux.
