PURPOSE: To provide a flying object control device which can fly the object at a sufficiently low set altitude which is not easily detectable by the target without risk of contacting waves and immerging in the water.

CONSTITUTION: A flying object control device is composed of an image seeker 2 installed in the front part of a flying body and to photograph ahead the flying direction, an image processing part 5 to subject the image data obtained by this image seeker 2 to a binary processing, and a memory part 6 which stores in advance the database representing the correlation of the digitized image data and the wave height values. The arrangement is further equipped with a calculation part 7, which makes reference to the memory part 6 and estimates the wave height using the digitized image data acquired by the image processing part 5, and an altitude setting part 8 which sets the flying altitude as a command using the wave height value obtained by this calculation part 7.
