Abstract:
To provide a volatile agent that keeps an effect of repelling flying pests such as adult mosquitos for a long time even outdoors as well as indoors, particularly having an effect of preventing these flying pests such as adult mosquitos from flying into a space of a specific range from its installation site; and a method for repelling flying pests using the volatile agent.SOLUTION: An agent for repelling flying pests comprises an agent storage body comprising a volatile agent stored in an agent container, wherein the volatile agent comprises a volatile pyrethroid compound containing transfluthrin or metofluthrin, supported on a carrier. The volatile agent stored in the agent storage body contains transfluthrin or metofluthrin, an amount of which is at least 500 mg or 250 mg.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
