Title:
FLYING PLATE THICKNESS CHANGING METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS ROLLING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07185627
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve precision by obtaining a draft position and roll speed more precisely in a flying plate thickness changing method which changes plate thickness without stopping a rolling mill in a tandem rolling mill consisting of plural stands.

CONSTITUTION: Steps are provided setting a timing at which a flying plate thickness change point passes each stand as a boundary while the flying plate thickness, change point passes from a first stand through the final stand, and schedule calculation is performed at every step, and accurate draft position S and roll speed N for each stand are found at every step, and they are set on each stand as preset values. Rolling with high precision can be performed by performing the rolling of the flying plate thickness change point based on those preset values.
