Title:
FLYWHEEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3740582
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably rotate a flywheel to the limit of the natural strength of a material in a flywheel type energy accumulating machine without causing a mass unbalance resulted from out-of-shape even to a large centrifugal force or rotation accelerating and decelerating speed.
SOLUTION: The former half part 1a of a filament winding of high specific strength fiber constituting the periphery of a flywheel is wound from the inside toward the periphery, the latter half part 1b is wound from the periphery toward the inside in the symmetric position axially adjacent to 1a, and the winding start and winding end are fixed to a winding core 2 on the inner circumferential surface having a relatively low centrifugal force. Thus, the windings 1a, 1b keep the original forms under high circumferential speed even when they are reshaped with a resin. The winding core 2 and a web 7 are formed of resin- reshaped products of high specific strength fiber, and a hub 8 is made of metal.
