To provide a foam and the like whose foamed cell size is made of a smaller size and is highly uniformized.

The foam composition comprises a resin as a main component, a carbonate and a fatty acid. As a carbonate, a normal salt such as calcium carbonate or the like is cited. As a fatty acid, either a saturated fatty acid or an unsaturated fatty acid will do and stearic acid, oleic acid or the like is cited. As a resin, an organic polymer having at least one alkenyl group which can be hydrosilylated in the molecule is cited. A roller installed with a layer comprising the foam composition on the outer periphery of a core is also provided. The roller is suitable as a development roller for electrophotographic printing devices.
