Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a dissimilar diameter and multi-grooved pulley by form rolling by forming the outer peripheral face of the tip of the butt member projecting from an upper die in the stepped cylindrical shape corresponding to the cylindrical wall shape of an aiming dissimilar diameter and multi-grooved V-pulley. CONSTITUTION:When a preform 24 is set and rotated, an upper die 32 is descended to the position where the annular groove 48 of the upper die 32 and the stepping face of a can member 58 form a flange forming groove 46 with a bending roller being pressed. The butt part of the bonding roller is then recessed and a bending part is formed. A thickness increasing roller is then pressed to the bending part, the rugged curved face of a cylindrical wall is uniformized and thickened. The grooving roller 140 equipped with plural V-groove forming ribs 138 is than pressed and plural V-grooves 14 are formed. V-pulley parts 16, 18 are respectively formed for the small diameter part 10 of the cylindrical wall and the large diameter part 12 and the aiming dissimilar diameter and multi-grooved V-pulley is thus formed.
