This sheet is produced by forming a foamed sheet containing a homo or copolymer of a cyclic olefin and having 1.1-10 fold blowing magnification, and the container is produced by using the same sheet. The above foamed sheet is allowed to contain an olefin polymer (especially a polyethylene having ≥0.5 g/10 min melt flow rate) in a ratio of (the cyclic olefin polymer)/(the olefin polymer)=((99.9/0.1)-(50/50) (in weight ratio).
