To provide a foamed sheet which is uniformly foamed, lightweight, has high foaming magnification, has high heat-insulating property and is excellent in stiffness, heat resistance and low-temperature impact resistance, and also to provide a container obtained from the foamed sheet.

The foamed sheet having high foaming magnification, lightweight, excellent in heat-insulating property, stiffness, heat resistance and low-temperature impact resistance, is obtained by using a polyethylene-based resin having specific molecular weight distribution and a long-chain branched structure. The container obtained from the foamed sheet is also provided.
