Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a matrix for forming a plastic lens and the manufacturing method for the plastic lens which generates no elution or the like and can be used for cast polymerization suitably and also includes a gasket to be manufactured easily by an aromatic, acryl or methacryl monomer.
CONSTITUTION: A matrix for forming a plastic lens consists of a gasket and a molding die, and the gasket is composed of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer. Liquid containing an aromatic, acryl, methacryl monomer or the like is injected into the matrix for molding, and then the monomer is polymerized in the manufacturing method of the plastic lens.
