PURPOSE: A foamy hair shampoo, obtained by filling a specific amount of a propellent in a stock solution consisting of a surfactant, alcohol, humectant and water in a pressure-resistant container, capable of washing the hair without requiring a large amount of water and effectively usable for aged-bedridden persons.

CONSTITUTION: A foamy hair shampoo obtained by incorporating 0.1W5wt% surfactant, e.g. polyoxyethylene stearyl ether, with 5W30wt% alcohol and 0.1W10wt% humectant, e.g. cetanol, adding water thereto to give 100wt% stock solution and filling 3W10pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. above-mentioned stock solution, propellant, e.g. liquefied petroleum gas, in a pressure-resistant container. A germicide, preservative, perfume, etc., are added thereto, as necessary.
