To easily improve the accuracy of focusing without photographer's intention.

Focusing is performed by a phase difference detection system (S101), and focusing is performed by a contrast detection system (S102), then a difference between respective focusing positions is detected and stored (S103). Then, the conversion coefficient of the phase difference system is updated (S104).
