Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing material for glass fiber capable of effectively preventing coloring of a glass fiber bundle when drying a spool of the glass fiber bundle, making a weaving performance of the glass fiber bundle after drying good, and improving a oil releasibility of glass fiber fabric. SOLUTION: The sizing material for glass fiber contains at least one benzodioxol compound selected from a group among sesamole, sesamin, sesaminol, sesamorin, sesamorinol and glycoside of them, starch, preparation, emulsifying agent, softening agent and water. The sizing material is characterized in that the content of benzodioxysol compound is 0.7×10<-1> -3.2×10<-1> wt.% based on a total amount of non-volatile compound of the convergence agent for the glass fiber.
