To provide a focusing jig which is arranged on a transporting path for photographic films in order to regulate the imagery state of the photographic films on may light receiving elements extending in a main scanning direction of an image reading device having a mechanism for transporting the photographic films, etc., in a sub-scanning direction, a light source for forming optical paths arriving at the light receiving elements through the photographic films and a lens for forming the images of the photographic films of the light receiving elements and has an object capable of imaging which allows focusing more equally relating to the components in both directions of main scanning and sub-scanning while allowing the use thereof for focusing simply when the jig is placed on the transporting path fort photographic films.
