Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present optimum setting according to a residual amount of a foil roll to an operator when executing a foil stamping job.SOLUTION: When performing foil stamping by use of a foil roll, a used amount of the foil roll required by a foil stamping job is obtained, and as the used amount, used amounts in two kinds of modes comprising a used amount in a mode in which a non-used region of the foil roll is not unwound, and a used amount in a mode in which the non-used region of the foil roll is unwound are obtained. The used amounts of the foil roll in said two kinds of modes are compared with a residual amount of the current foil roll, and it is determined whether completion of a job in each mode is right or wrong. Based on rightness or wrongness of completion of a job in each mode, display for proposal of a change in mode setting is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
